Can’t come to Trenton? Let us search our collection for you! The Friends of the Trenton Public Library offer a fee-based research service for those who are unable to visit the library. Specific research such as an obituary, directory, or yearbook look-up with an exact date, name and/or location is $5, while general research that includes more in-depth searching is $25/hour (one-hour minimum).
All fees are nonrefundable. Please contact the Archivist with your inquiry to ensure that we will be able to fulfill your request and how long it may take. Research is conducted in the Trentoniana Department only. Payment can be through the library’s PayPal account here – make a note that it is for research services. If more extensive genealogical research is needed, contact the Genealogical Society of New Jersey for their list of professional genealogists.
