Summer Reading is open to all ages. Register and pick up your reading log at the library starting June 29. Your goal is to read pages. Earn points. Win prizes!

Teens who register in person for Summer Reading can receive a free cup of Cherry Rita’s while supplies last. Grab a cup before you head out to celebrate Take It to the Streets.

How to Sign Up for / Log your Summer Reading

Participants will be automatically entered into the Summer Reading Grand Prize Raffle once they log their first book read or library event attended. Each book logged or event attended earns participants one additional raffle entry throughout the summer.

For every submission, participants may choose which grand prize they would like their raffle entry applied toward.

All entries will be tracked through the official Google Form. Paper entry forms will also be available at the library for participants who are unable to submit electronically.

Once registered, participants will receive a Summer Reading Packet that includes a reading log, instruction sheet, and a free book. The first 10 patrons to register will also receive a special swag bag that includes a branded tote bag, bookmarks, a cup, pencil, and a gift certificate for a free kids meal at Applebee’s.

Participants are encouraged to visit the library once per week to show their reading progress and select a prize from the treasure chest. Each weekly check-in earns one raffle entry toward the Summer Reading grand prize. Participants will also receive one raffle entry for every library program they attend throughout the summer.

Participants are automatically registered for the Teen Summer Reading Program when they sign up in person at the YA Lounge.

Every page you read earns you one point. Earn an additional 50 bonus points every time they attend a Summer Reading program.

Bring your reading logs each week to receive a librarian’s sign-off and have your points recorded. Weekly prizes will be awarded to the teen with the highest number of points at the end of each week. At the end of the program, the teen with the highest combined total of reading and event points will win a grand prize.

Join TFPL as we close out the Summer Reading Challenge by awarding our young readers for a job well done! Afterwards, we will be drawing the winning ticket for the Grand Prize Raffle and bid the summer goodbye!
