We are the Trenton Puerto Rican Community & Friends Organization. In partnership with the Trenton Free Public Library, we are hosting a career awareness exploration event. El Grito to Independence on Thursday, September 22, 2022 The event is part of our programming celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and commemorating the 154th anniversary of the Grito de Lares.  On the 23rd of September in 1868, the people of Puerto Rico stood up and fought for political and economic independence. It is in this spirit that the Trenton Puerto Rican Community & Friends Organization invites you to share your journey to professional independence. Children and youth in the community of Trenton will attend the event and learn from your journey, challenges, and accomplishments.  We are looking for Latino professionals to share their story of how they came to be a lawyer, activist, videographer, judge, entrepreneur, y mucho más.
