For Ages 10 to 13 Saturdays July 24, 31, August 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Children's author Nicole Major is hosting a 6-week writing workshop for pre-teens. Experience the writing process as you write, edit, and illustrate a collaborative anthology! Registration is required. Kids must attend all 6 weeks. Call the library or visit the Children's Room to register. This program is made possible with a grant from the Princeton Area Community Fund.

Open Streets, Open Studios

Art All Day and Ciclovia, two great events, have joined forces for one amazing day of art, bikes, and socially-distanced fun in the streets! There are a lot of great art and outdoor activities planned, as well as walking and bike tours for all abilities. Ciclovia will be at Warren Street with TDA and Breunig Ave with the East Trenton Collaborative. Art All Day sites will include Artworks and sites all over the city. This free, public event is rain or shine and will take place on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

The Friends of Trenton Free Public Library is collaborating with Building Better Communities and Elements of the Community, Inc. to provide the Trenton community with access to the Emergency Broadband Benefit, a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The temporary benefit will help lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Oct 30, 11am - 2pm, staff from the two community partners will be at the library to help patrons apply for the tablets with Free WIFI. Eligible patrons or households will receive the tablet onsite. A one-time $20 activation fee will be required.
