Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

The Friends of Trenton Free Public Library is collaborating with Building Better Communities and Elements of the Community, Inc. to provide the Trenton community with access to the Emergency Broadband Benefit, a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The temporary benefit will help lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. On Wednesday, February 9th from 2:15 pm – 4:30 pm, staff from the two community partners will be at the library to help patrons apply for the tablets with Free WIFI. Eligible patrons or households will receive the tablet onsite. A one-time $20 activation fee will be required. The Happy Journey to Trenton and Camden

Always Love Lucy Theatre & King Lahiri Productions welcome you to their production of the Thornton Wilder one-act: The Happy Journey to Trenton and Camden, directed by Saima Huq. About the play: A middle-aged couple and two of their three surviving children drive through New Jersey, from Newark to Camden, to visit their eldest daughter, who has recently suffered a tragedy. The journey is full of arguments, laughter, and joy in simple things like billboards, hot dogs and sunsets. It’s a journey where nothing happens, and yet everything happens. The play was first produced on November 25, 1931, at the Yale University Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, by the Yale Dramatic Association and the Vassar College Philalethis. Please turn off your cell phones and keep your masks on.
