The Friends of Trenton Free Public Library is collaborating with Building Better Communities and Elements of the Community, Inc. to provide the Trenton community with access to the Emergency Broadband Benefit, a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The temporary benefit will help lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. On Wednesday, from 2:15 pm – 4:30 pm, staff from the two community partners will be at the library to help patrons apply for the tablets with Free WIFI. Eligible patrons or households will receive the tablet onsite. A one-time $20 activation fee will be required. Series #2: The Rivers Under the Earth (Reading Room) This play is thought to represent middle-age, in Wilder's unfinished cycle of The Ages of Man. On a point of land jutting into a lake in southern Wisconsin, the Carter family enjoys a summer's eve. It's an evening like many others: Nothing happens and everything happens.

Trenton Free Public Library and Always Love Lucy Theatre Present “SUMMER SERIES: THORNTON WILDER ONE-ACTS”. Series #3: Bernice (Reading Room) Bernice represents "Pride" in Wilder's projected cycle on the Seven Deadly Sins. Set in Chicago in 1911. Walbeck, a thoroughly hated man who cheated hundreds of people out of their money, suddenly returns home from Joliet prison when his sentence is reduced. He is greeted by two people: his attorney, who informs him that Walbeck's wife has fled to California, taking his daughter with her, and a new maid, Bernice.
