Get your summer reading material at the front circulation desk. Lunch is served to children and teens by the City's summer feeding program.
Summer reading is from July 10th to August 19th, culminating in a Summer Reading party on August 19th! Prizes will be awarded to those youth who read 10 books or more over the course of the summer.
LIBRARY POLICY ON UNATTENDED CHILDREN: The Summer Reading Program is not designed to be a drop off camp.
The Trenton Free Public Library is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment that encourages children to attend the Summer Reading Program. Library staff is available to assist and support children with their use of Library resources.
However, the Library is not responsible for children who are left unattended on Library premises. Unattended children are children of any age who are apparently unaccompanied by a parent, guardian, and/or responsible caregiver in the Library. Any child age six (6) or under left alone in the library will be considered at risk. Children must be twelve (12) or older to ‘supervise’ a child six (6) or under.
