Computers for browsing the Internet (including email), accessing information online and word processing are available for public use at the Trenton Free Public Library.
Time limits vary, but generally include 2-hour sessions, 1-hour sessions, 1/2 hour sessions or "Express" 15-minute sessions.
ALL patrons (even children) of the Trenton Free Public Library will need a valid library card to use our computers. Your card must be in good standing (no lost items, no overdue items, and less than $5.00 in fines).
Anyone that lives, works or attends school in Trenton is eligible to get a card. Everyone else may purchase a library card for $75.00/year.
CDs and flash drives may be used in most of the library's computers. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own headphones.
Our Policy For Internet Use is available here.
All printouts are 20 cents each or 50 cents for color copies.
A significant amount of the funding for the Computer Room at the Main Library and all of the computers and printers used to access the Internet were provided by Technology Grants administered by the New Jersey State Library.
We are pleased to offer free wireless internet access throughout the building.
To take advantage of this service, sign into the TFPL-Wireless WiFi network on your wireless device.
On the first floor of the library, we have a scanner that you are able to use to scan and email documents to your email address.
